Caramba’s Spanish Inn Menu

 

Caramba’s Spanish Inn is located at 3116 West Front Street, right next to McCoy’s Building Supply, is a fine Mexican restaurant. The Spanish Inn serves up tacos, fajitas, steaks, chalupas, enchiladas, gorditas, and Chile Rellenos. Caramba’s is one of the oldest, if not the oldest Mexican restaurant in Midland.

Strawberry Fields Cafe Menu 

Strawberry Fields is perfect for the person who is still abiding by his or her New Year’s resolution. The food is tasty, good for you, quick and easy buffet style. Come in and check out their wide array of health items for sale, eat a little lunch and be on your way to a healthier you. Midland is full of Chicken fried steaks and BBQ, so healthy eating is hard to come by. My only complaint about a place like this is that I wish it were closer to downtown. We need a downtown healthy food option in this town.

Graham Pharmacy Menu

 

Graham Pharmacy is truly a Midland, treasure. Several of my co-workers and friends that are originally from Midland grew up going to this place. First, off it’s not just a pharmacy, it’s a gift shop and a soda fountain old-timey sandwich shop. So theoretically you go in to fill a prescription, buy a birthday present, and eat some delicious lunch all at one time. The secret of Midland Tip #455. Wednesdays they have a lunch special, it always sells out fast, and it’s different from week to week. You can call as early as Monday to see what it’s going to be. Anything from Meatloaf to Enchiladas. Each week is its own surprise. Graham Pharmacy is located at 1601 West Wall Street. The sandwich shop is open Monday thru Friday from 8:00 to 6:00, and Saturday from 9:00 to 5:00. They are closed on Sundays. Call 432-684-5756 for takeout orders. They also have a newer location across town at 4906 Briarwood Ave.

Luigi’s Italian Restaurant

 

Luigi’s Italian Restaurant located in downtown Midland, Texas at 111 North Big Spring Street, is a shining oasis in the desert of the Permian Basin. This is where the locals tell you to go. Good food, good wine, homemade Italian cuisine. I am getting hungry just thinking about it. Luigi’s menu includes; Eggplant Parmesan, Crab Cakes, Pizza, Ravioli, Spaghetti, Rigatoni, Linguine, Penne, Tiramisu, Cannoli. Luigi’s is perfect for a first date, or for a lunch meeting with the boss. Its only downside is its very limited parking.  All of its parking spaces are taken up by neighboring businesses until after 5 o’clock. On the other hand, it is well within walking distance for any downtown worker. Luigis serves up some of the best food in West Texas, and is voted every year as one of Midland’s top restaurants!

Chito’s Mexican Restaurant is located at 4400 North Midland Drive in the Cornerstone Shopping Center. Chito’s is a new restaurant in Midland but is quickly gaining a following among both the younger and older crowd. With a varied menu serving up Fajitas, Enchiladas, Tacos, Tortas, Quesadillas, Burritos, Steaks, and Seafood, they aim to please anyone’s taste buds. They feature $8.99 sizzling Fajitas every day of the week, and have party rooms available to situate larger groups.

Kuo’s Chinese Restaurant Menu

 

Kuo’s Chinese Restaurant is located across the street from the HEB, in the same shopping center as Torino’s Sports bar and Pizzeria Venti. We reviewed Kuo’s a while back and were very impressed with their General Tso’s Chicken. This place is one of the unsung heroes of Chinese food in Midland. It doesn’t come up in conversation as much as it needs to. It’s a classy, comfortable place perfect for an evening dinner or wonderful for takeout on a Monday night.

La Bodega 

La Bodega is an interesting places in Midland, they have all the classic Mexican dishes of a normal Mexican restaurant, but they also have some with an interesting twist, like Chile rellenos topped with raisins and pecans.  Twice a year they get Anaheim Chiles in from Mexico, so they can proudly say that they have the best rellenos in town. They have a full bar upstairs. This is one of Midlands older restaurants, seems like it has been here all my life. La Bodega is good Mexican food, reasonably priced, in a classic atmosphere.

The Bar Menu

 

Midland is lucky to have a place as special as “the bar”, located smack dab in the middle of downtown. The location is perfect. Day or night it is always packed! This place has: great food, great drinks, live bands on the weekends, brunch on Saturday morning,daily lunch specials, a life-size stuffed bear! an outdoor patio. What more do you want? King & I Menu 

The King & I is ran by our local hero and marathon runner “popcorn” . He is located just north of downtown on Big Spring Street. The impressive thing about the King and I, is its consistency. You will get the same awesome meal every time you go in. I do mention that Thai food and Chinese food are similar but definitely different. I get the sesame chicken every time I visit and it is just perfect.No joke this place is a Midland Treasure. Midland Secret #785, Lunch at the Big Spring street location fills up fast so go early if you want a table.
